Product Usage

The Odyssey generator is a state-of-the-art Ultrasonic cautery device that allows the surgeon to perform laproscopic or open procedures with minimal tissue necrosis.

Challenges

The Odyssey generator was a second generation product offering that came subsequent to Ethicon's acquisition of the technology. MPE was tasked with designing a cart that would promote product branding and provide organized storage of foot pedals and disposable hand pieces.

Solution

MPE leveraged existing tooling for the front facade that ties this product with the Mammotome Breast Biopsy product. The minimal footprint, two-way bi-pass drawer, and multiple open storage areas allow for increased functionality and easy access to both foot pedals and disposables.
