Challenges

GE Healthcare wanted a redesign of its existing cart that would:

• Reflect customer requirements
• Provide a scaleable platform for other products in the line
• Meet extremely tight production deadlines

Solution

Incorporating voice of the customer (VOC) feedback, MPE quickly developed a new workstation design that placed the ECG system, ancillary components and supplies within easier reach of the user. Following approval of the design, MPE developed three functional prototypes within six weeks for GE to display at a critical trade show. Four months later, MPE shipped 1,000 production units – fully assembled and ready to operate – to meet the client’s aggressive timeline.
